Dr. Jorge Torres (pediatric dental specialist) and his staff made a big impression at the Madison Kids Expo on March 17 & 18 at the Alliant Center.  Children spun the prize wheel to win toothbrushes, flossers, toothpaste and spinbrushes!

Maynard G. Mallard (Madison Mallards' mascot) took a turn at the wheel -- unfortunately for Maynard, birds have no teeth!

Dr. Ramos Goes on Health Care Mission In Belize

In November, ForwardDental-Oconomowoc's Dr. Maria Ramos and her assistant, Chara Voght, packed their supplies and equipment for a 9 day dental/medical mission through the Belize Mission Project.  Annually, 2 groups of dentists, physicians and auxiliaries travel throughout the Central American country of Belize providing free dental and medical services. Using a portable dental chair and unit, and a scuba tank for air, Dr. Ramos and Chara treated adults and children, some who had never been seen by a dentist. People traveled for miles, and patiently waited their turn - sometimes for several hours. "The Belizeans are happy people and truly appreciative of what we do. I am very humbled by the experience", explains Dr. Ramos, who has been on this mission twice. Totals for the this year's 100 participants  (among them 31 dentists and 4 physicians ) included: 2738 dental exams, 1471 restorations, 6144 Fluoride treatments, 119 removable partials, 658 extractions, 963 other dental procedures, 844 medical exams, and 152 medical procedures.

Over $47,000 worth of services were     provided free of charge to 199 children. ForwardDental at Lake Country Community Fest

Our Delafield, Oconomowoc and Pewaukee offices sponsored a booth in the annual Lake Country Community Fest business expo on Saturday, March 19th. Our intrepid crew gave away toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and fabulous ForwardDental tote bags (encouraging the attendees to “go green” with ForwardDental when shopping).

Representatives from our lake country offices included Dr. Maria Ramos, Chara Voght, Melissa Cartwright, Sue Amann and Lorena Yanez-Cloud.  Many thanks to all of you for your hard work and dedication!

ForwardDental DonatesToys for Tots

All ForwardDental offices served as Totys for Tots collection sites this year.  We are pleased to report that through our efforts we were able to donate 536 toys to needy children in Wisconsin.

ForwardDental Charity Golf Outing

The ForwardDental 2nd annual Charity Golf Outing held on September 25th was a big success!  With over 70 golfers participating in a scramble format event at the Fairways of Woodside Golf Course in Sussex, we were able to raise more than $10,000 for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at  Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Today’s TMJ4 Vince Vitrano served as the emcee for the event, and Dr. Lori Barbeau (the Medical Director of the Pediatric Dental Residency Program and Chief of Dental Services at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin)  spoke to the crowd about the financial needs within her department and the good our donation will do.

Thanks to all who participated and helped out!
